Murcia 3 Culturas – Friday 20th to Wednesday 25th May

An extraordinary Festival celebrating tolerance and intercultural exchange, replete with vibrant concerts, dance and extraordinary music.

The entire programme is free, and it´s just a question of turning up to try and get a seat- but leave plenty of time for some of these events as they will be very popular and spaces are limited in some venues. There are only 2 events which are “invitation only” meaning tickets have to be collected from the tourist info centre in Plaza Belluga, but we´ll let you know which ones they are as we get to them.

Friday 20th May

Tapeplas from Israel

Escuela Superior de Arte Dramático y Danza

Plaza de los Apóstoles

Performances at 6pm and 8pm

(Tickets only due to limited numbers, free – to be picked up from the Tourist office in Plaza Belluga between 11am and 1pm, Call 968 358 749)

Formed by various Israeli artists the performance combines tap dance and percussion. This is a journey through time, through distinct cultures epochs, emotions, this is dance , music and culture spoken through one language: rhythm

Olé and Amén, a mixture of flamenco-soul-gospel

“Alma flamenca y soul en la venas” flamenco spirit and soul in the veins defines this night which combines flamenco vocal, flamenco guitar, a gospel choir and a flamenco . This bills the soulful anthems of flamenco, the Tarantos, malagueñas, seguidillas and bulerías mixed with a touch of soul, pop and flamenco versions of well known pop classics by artists such as Stevie Wonder, Mariah Carey and Donna Summer.
